The Environmental Protection Bureau of Nantou County Government (hereinafter referred to as the Bureau) is committed to creating a sustainable and high-quality living environment. It aims to instill in the citizens the concept of cherishing their homeland and preserving environmental hygiene. Together, we strive to eliminate disorder and environmental pollution, ensuring the maintenance of our living habitat. Through the "112 Clean Home Environment Education Implementation Plan and Public Restroom Inspection, Quality Public Restroom Project" (hereinafter referred to as the Plan), various tasks related to public restroom services, environmental volunteer work, environmental sanitation, and the use of environmental chemicals within the county are targeted. The comprehensive improvement of environmental hygiene is pursued to gradually transform the living environment towards ecological cities, healthy surroundings, and a progressively comfortable lifestyle. As of December 31, the completion of year-end standardized work items includes three visits for the public restroom repair subsidy project, quarterly inspections of managed public restrooms, certification of 39 outstanding public restroom locations totaling 280 instances, 213 cases of environmental hygiene inspection and photography operations, inspections of 105 outdoor public environments, organizing volunteer commendation ceremonies, and visits and guidance for 47 environmental volunteer teams. Additionally, quarterly checks by central ministries for vacant houses and land (4 quarters), organizing training sessions for the elimination of dengue fever breeding sources, and advocacy activities for dog waste, betel nut, and cigarette butt-related issues were conducted once each. Moreover, a comprehensive mobilization executed spot checks in 168 areas, with on-site supervision of 85 environmental impact assessments, hosting three regulatory explanation meetings for environmental impact assessments, assisting in the organization of general affairs for assessment review meetings (including assisting in live broadcasting review committee meetings) five times, and supporting cleanliness assessments. Through the implementation of the aforementioned tasks, the ultimate goal of striving for high environmental quality and environmental sustainability is pursued.
